Buyer protection
Buyer protection on Mianos is a five-part promise: hold the money, demand proof, give you time, hear you out, refund when fair. Here's exactly what's covered and what isn't, so there are no surprises.
Funds held in escrow
Every payment is captured into escrow at Stripe — not the seller's bank account. The seller can't see or touch the money until it's released. If you cancel before payment, no charge happens. If you cancel after payment but before the ad goes live, you get a full refund.
7-day approval window
Once the seller submits proof of placement, you have a full 7 days to inspect, approve, or dispute. We don't rush you. If you don't respond, funds release automatically — but until that timer ends, you're in control.
When you're protected
Buyer protection covers:
- No proof submitted within the agreed setup window.
- Proof shows a different surface, location, or audience than the listing claimed.
- Ad pulled before the agreed end date.
- Campaign never went live (digital channel never published, billboard never installed).
- Seller stops responding to messages.
When you're not protected
Outside the policy, by design:
- Outcomes you can't measure objectively (e.g. "the ad didn't drive enough traffic").
- Disagreements after you've already approved release.
- Issues with creative you supplied (mistakes in your own ad copy, brand-fit complaints from third parties).
- Anything off-platform — bypass Mianos and you bypass the protection too.
How to claim
From the order page, click "Open a dispute" within 7 days of the proof being submitted. Describe what's wrong and attach evidence — screenshots, photos, links. We aim to respond within 3 business days and resolve most cases within 7.
