For sellers
Seller terms
These are the seller-side rules that apply when you list space on Mianos. The full Terms of Service govern your account; this page is the practical reference.
Commission and listing fees
Listing is free. We don't charge to publish, browse, or hold a listing in draft. Our commission is 12 % of the order amount, deducted automatically when funds release from escrow. Stripe processing fees (about 2.5 % + €0.25 per transaction) are separate and shown in the breakdown.
What you must own (or be authorised to sell)
You can only list advertising space you actually have rights to sell. That includes:
- Property you own outright (your wall, your car, your podcast).
- Space you've leased with explicit ad rights (commercial signage in a rented storefront).
- Surfaces or channels with the rights-holder's written authorisation (e.g. you sell ad space on a friend's vehicle with their written permission).
- Selling third-party property without permission is a serious breach and can be fraud or trespass under Finnish law.
Insurance and liability
Damage to your own surfaces during installation or removal is your responsibility — keep adequate property and liability insurance. Damage caused by a buyer's installer is between you and the buyer (or their installer's insurance). Mianos is a marketplace, not a guarantor; we don't insure either side.
Tax obligations
Your sales income is taxable. We don't withhold tax for you.
- Finnish individuals: declare to Verohallinto on your annual tax return.
- Finnish businesses: VAT applies once your turnover crosses the €20 000 small-business threshold.
- DAC7: under EU Directive 2021/514, we report identifying details and total sales to your country's tax authority each year. You'll see the report copied to your dashboard.
When a listing gets removed
Reasons we take a listing down:
- It violates our content rules (illegal goods, hate speech, IP infringement — see Terms §4).
- The seller doesn't actually have rights to the space.
- A third party files a credible takedown that we can verify.
- The seller goes inactive (no response within 14 days of an offer or buyer message).
Pause, edit, or delete anytime
Before the first offer arrives, you can edit, pause, or delete your listing freely from the seller dashboard. After an offer, you can still pause new offers but can't withdraw existing ones — we owe buyers a fair response.
